He d. 1870 in Arkansas. m. 31 Jan 1821 in St. Clair County, AL to a Nancy McDaniel (could be your Nancy McDowell) his parents were Moses Allison b. 1756 in Laurens County, SC and m. 1774 to Elizabeth Phipps. Moses' father was Robert Allison b. 1720 in Laurens County, SC and d. 1790 in same. He was either married to an Elizabeth Scott or Frances Avant. and as far has his ancestors, I'm very sketchy as it seems the spelling of the last name may have changed. I don't have the names of all of John's children. I only have info on the one I'm directly related to - James MAdison Allison b. 04 Nov 1822 in St. Clair Co., AL. d. 06 Feb 1880 in same and m. to Elizabeth Robinson.
