It happens to all of us who have been told the stories over the years. I have sent to you the genealogy of Clay Allison's family. That is all we know. He only had daughters so there was no male to carry on his name. You have all the census records that we have on his family which consist mostly of his father, Jeremiah Allison. This line also connects to the Ellison line through dna testing. They used both names in those days. You hang in there and if you would contact Tim Allison again, he can help you with your line for it is his as well and he has helped so many of us Allisons from AL. He is a nice person who cares about the Allison genealogy. This genealogy can get frustrating and you think no one is out there who will help out but keep at it and it will come together and there may not be answers to many things as there was not much documentation in those days. We do have the DNA testing if any of your family would like to contribute. Don't ! give up!!
