Surnames: Allison Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/hZ.2ADIB/1618.1.1.2 Message Board Post: Tim, how are you related to James Madison Allison? He's my gggg-grandfather. For me it goes James, Andrew Jackson, Julius Franklin, Euel Celester (my g-grandfather). If you have any military info on the Allison's I'd love for you to share it with me (esp. if it's Civil War info that I can pass on to my dad). I have that Andrew Jackson Allison fought in the 58th Alabama Infantry in the Civil war and that James Madison was in the 27th Alabama Infantry. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm also trying to find connections to TN Allisons. There is a notorious Texas gunslinger named Clay Allison. (Julius Franklin's youngerst son was named Julius Clayton after this man). Now all this is just story passed down through the family but I did find Clay Allison in a book on gunslingers. b. 1840 d. 1877 and originally from TN. So I'm trying to find the link. If you have information on any TN Allison's that would be great. ~Tabitha
