We do have connections in TN but I cannot find any that would connect us to Clay Allison, the Shooter. I do have the genealogy on Clay Allison that was given to me by a relative if you are interested. My ggrandfather, Clayborn Smith Allison migrated to Texas in the late 1800's but his brothers George, Cornelius, and one other brother went to Hardin Co. TN after the Civil war. George was married to a Josephine Smith from TN. I have a photo of James Madison with my grandfather's youngest sister. My line: Elijah-Clayborn-Albert Augusta-Mary Pauline Allison (my Mom) You are correct about the stories of Clay Allison in our family but I cannot find the connection as yet. Anne
