My two Allisons are Andrew Allison, son of James Allison. Andrew was b. in N. Ire. He m. 1st Ann Simonton who d. bef 1780. Andrew went to then Rowan, now Iredell Co NC. Andrew's brothers were: Thomas and Robert. Andrew was known as Squire Allison and was one of the first magistrates of Rowan Co in 1753; was high sheriff of Rowan Co for a time around 1768. On May 12, 1778, he enlisted in the Co. of Capt. John Summers, 1st NC Batt for 3 yrs in the Rev War. Children Of Andrew Allison and prob 1st wife, Ann, were: Adam; Elizabeth; Sarah; Theophilus and Thomas. The other Allison was Thomas Allison, b. 14 Apr 1722, N. Ire, also son of James Allison. Thomas m. Magdalene Simonton, b. 31 Aug 1725, m. Thomas abt 1747. Thomas d. 5 May 1794, Iredell Co NC and is buried in Statesville NC. Magdalene d. 17 May 1794, Iredell Co NC. Children of Thomas and Magdalene: Theorphilus-d. young, ! Alexander, Magdelin, Theophilus, Margaret, Col. Thomas Alexander, Col Richard, Mary, John, Ann Simonton Allison. Thos Allison was a Capt in the French Indian War commanding a Co of Rangers.
