Griffin, 87, of Indian Hills Road, Whittier, died Friday, Dec. 17, 2004, at Tsali Care Center. A graveside service was held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, at the Sherrill Cemetery with the Revs. Steve Phillippi and Cody Lambert officiating. She was a native of Swain County and had lived most of her life in Cherokee. She was the daughter of the late Luther and Nannie Lambert Allison. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Leonard Griffin. Surviving are two sons, Paul Royce Griffin of Lake Lure and Everett Griffin of Leicester; and two grandsons. Moody Funeral Home and Crematorium was in charge of arrangements.
