The first three generations of his Allisons are: 1. William Allison b. abt 1698 Ireland; d. abt 1794 Orange Co., NC; m. Grizzel Wray b. abt 1698 Ulster, Ireland; d. abt 1794 Orange Co., NC. 2. John Robert Allison b. bet. 1720 and 1729 SCT or IRL came to America as a small boy and settled in Lancaster Co., PA; d. abt. 1796 Orange Co., NC (will recorded Feb 1796); m. Martha Hamilton b. abt 1733 Antrim, IRL She arrived America on the ship "Rundell" 4 Oct 1746; d. abt 1838 Orange Co., NC. 3. Hamilton Allison b. abt. 1769 Orange Co., NC. d. aft. Oct 1822 White Co., TN; m. 30 Sep 1794 Orange Co., NC to Elizabeth "Betsy" Stewart I have been given this information by another researcher of this Allison line: 1. John Allison, Sr. & Martha Hamilton 2. John Allison, Jr. & Sarah Toler 3. Joseph "Mine Lick Joe" Allison & Cynthia Stone I am not a descendant of this Allison line, but I am interested in all of the Allison families that are involved in the Allison/Ellison DNA Project. It appears that John and Martha HAMILTON ALLISON had at least two sons and Joseph "Mine Lick Joe" Allison was the son of John Allison Jr. The immigrant ancestor of this line was William Allison b. abt 1698 Ireland; d. abt 1794 Orange Co., NC; m.
