The data I have so far relates to ELEANOR ALLISON who was born in Arkengarthdale in around 1764. Her father was EDWARD ALLISON (b. 1732, Arkengarthdale), but I'm struggling to identify her mother. Eleanor married WILLIAM BURTON in 1785, and had at least two sons, THOMAS and HENRY. Does this sound familiar at all? I'd be very grateful for any help. Sarah
