I am giving what I know, in the HOPE that somebody might identify with these folk and get in touch. News of further generations or more detail on any of these would also be most extremely welcome! Albert Edward ALLISON was born in Monkwearmouth, Sunderland on 14th February 1863. In about 1881 he married Margaret Ann Blake, also of Sunderland, born in about 1860. Her parents were Remigius BLAKE and Margaret Ann JAMES. She was baptised at St Peter’s, Monkwearmouth on 3 October 1860. They lived in Bishopwearmouth and had 4 children thus: Evelyn Garnett ALLISON – born about 1883 Wilfrid Archbold ALLISON – born about 1884 Margaret ALLISON – born about 1891 John James ALLISON – born about 1893 These dates could be out by only a year, at most. Any links or info out there that could help my research? Thanks in advance if anyone can help! Clifford Allison.

My great grandfather was Henry Allison, born sometime in the 1880's--a steward, so also a domestic--and I know he had a few siblings he left behind in the area. He was married and had 3 kids at the time--Winnifred, John Henry and Evelyn. Good luck!

He was born May 02, 1902 in Chicago, Cook, Illinois He died January 28, 1952 Grant Twp., Newaygo, Michigan on the 1910 London Twp, Monroe, Michigan census he is Harold Allison on the 1920 Toledo Ward 1, Lucas, Ohio census he is Howard Allison on the 1930 Washington, Lucas, Ohio census he is Earl H. Allison and yet my mother knew him and he died as Harold Edmond Allison Up until I started search we also didnt know that he was married before my grandmother, but on the 1930 census in Ohio he is married to a Edith b. Abt 1908 in Ohio, I do not know if they had any children or what happened to her as by 1940 my grandmother and grandfather were together, allthough they had 2 of their 4 children before they were married in 1945 they had 2 more children and then he passed away in 1952 of a sawmill accident, he cut his knee with a axe and it became infected, he refused to go to a hosp. and died because of it Please contact me at jayelpee32@hotmail.com Thank You, Jennifer
Hello Jennifer, I looked at a couple of census records to try and find info on the people in your letter, below. In 1870, in Wayne Co., MI, Detroit, I found the following entry: Robinson, Cornelius age 36 born NY Robinson, Kathe age 16 born MI Robinson, Louise age 14 born MI Robinson, Jennie age 10 born MI Robinson, Mary age 8 born MI Robinson, Charles age 6 born MI Robinson, Lucy age 75 born NH Now I realize that Jennie was supposed to have been born in 1869, and the Jennie above was born ten years earlier, but I think the family is worth a second thought. Charles is the right age, sort of. Father's birthplace is right, and the county is the same as in 1900. I have all kinds of information on Stephen but barely anything on Jennie she is my great grandmother and my mother has been searching for years for anything on her, the little we have found is that she had a brother Charles b. Feb 1858 in Wisconsin, married to a Sarah Brown b. Jan 1859 in Canada, and that her mothers name was Cornelia/Codelia Lowe b. TN that I am aware of. My group migrated to TN after the Civil War to Hardin Co. My ggrandfather's (who this Clayburn was named after) brother George migrated to Hardin Co and married a Josephine Smith and had other children. In the 1870 census George is found in Franklin Co., AL (where he and all his siblings were born) with two children but no wife. I assume that he married Josephine after he went to TN with his brothers Harvey Presley and Cornelious C. Allison. They are all buried at the Graham Cemetery Hardin Co. George's son Clayburn stayed in Hardin until he died in 1964 and I was hoping to find some of his descendants. Why they migrated to TN is the question. Did they have relatives there? They migrated from AL after the deaths of their parents, Elijah M. Allison and Catherine Pate. In one census Catherine says she was from TN, that could be the connection.
