Allison of Centralia Dies Joshua Albert (Bill) Allison, 71, died Monday at his home at 707 North Tower avenue, Centralia, following a lingering illness. He had lived at that location for the past 17 years. Mr. Allison was born May 11, 1878, in Talladega, Ala., and had lived in Washington 30 years. He was a life member and past commander of John H. Wholley camp, United Spanish War Veterans. Surviving are his wife, Helma, at home; two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Annie Johnson, Miss Katie Allison, Willis Allison and Charles Allison, all in Montgomery, Ala. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. in Sticklin's Centralia chapel with the Rev. N.H. Payne officiating. Graveside services will be conducted by the USWV camp at Greenwood Memorial park. The William Allison born 1796 and wife Catherine ____who died in Dade Co., GA in the early 1850's were my ggg-grandparents. I feel sure that my William is the son of William who was the son of Old William and Lucy. We haven't been able to find much information on William, son of Old William and Lucy. I appreciate everything and would welcome any information about the above William Allisons.
