I would love to find out what you know! I am just beginning to use these Genelogy web sites much of what I know was told me by people that have passed away now. My middle son Ethan Geer is looking into the family history now recording things on the Gen Web oh I'am afraid he has it bad! He was the one who helped convince my husband to stop at the cemetary, it was not given to us as a place where family was buried. We had been to several cemetaries already that day starting with the town cemetary in Sparta ,Went out 84 to Johnson cemetary then back to big springs down the driveway where Ransom Geer is buried over to the other end of the cove where thank the lord that man who kept us away from William J.'s grave all these years had moved and the Lady selling the place now was very kind and allowed us to find both the old Geer cemetary and the place where Luke's grandfather had come back put concrete over his ! father's grave, but that other man had a bulldozer in there to remove the old Geer house except the chimney which still stands and gives some feeling of the old sene. I would just like to take a moment maybe its not allowed but the house that is there and 38 acres of family history are for sale very resonable wish we could afford to live that for out, we went away trying to figure it out but couldn't work it out. Hope someone like the nice lady that lives there now gets it! For the next pay dirt the part you are wanting to know , we left the cove going back toward Sparta on 84 and saw a sign for a cemetary on the left {PLUM CREEK} and persuded Luke to stop again down in the back left near the big trees one stone about six inches square C.A.allison&M.E.Shelly marriedJune 9 1842 next side Carter A. 1. Robert P. Allison of Butler Co. PA
    2. William G. Roy
    3. I am also descended from Robert P. Allison of Butler Co., PA (same dates), my GG Grandfather (through Martha Jane Allison who married Campbell Robison Glenn, their daughter Jesse Mae Glenn, who married William Edgar Monks, and their daughter Nona Alice Monks, who married James Rider Roy). I have a fair amount of information about the family. My first question is how you know his middle name, Park. I had not seen that before. I also have that his mother was named Jane. If I remember correctly, she was listed in the household in 1850. According to Helen Christy Blackwood, she came to this country with her sons from Ireland and settled in Cherry Twp. but no documentation is offered. Apparently there was no husband with her. She was blind. The farm was known as the Allison homestead between West Sunbury and Moniteau. Howard Allison was the last Allison to own the farm. In 1997, I got this from Nancy Moore: The very sketchy info I have states that Robert P's father was probably Nathaniel Allison, oldest son of James Allison, and his mother's name was Jane (no maiden name) or that possibly another generation there and that there was a Robert D Allison who married Jane. My info is uncertain who Robert P 's father was, but thought it was Nathaniel. The only info I have on James Allison is that he came from Ireland and first settled in Rockway, Maryland. Later he and two brothers, John and James relocated in PA. John supposedly went to Erie, PA, George to Allegheny County (possibly Allison Park) and James settled in Center Township, Butler County, PA. James bought 300 acres of land and built a house there in 1802. This land was owned by some of his descendants until after 1900. James's children were Nathaniel, Frank, William, Margaret,(maybe married Phillips) and Ellen (maybe married Thomas) and there may have been more. The first 4 were reportedly born in Maryland, beofe 1800. Ellen and any others probably born in PA. As stated above, somewhere there is a Robert D who maybe married a Jane Karr, but don't know for sure where he fits in. Also, Nathaniel's wife Jane may have been Jane Karr. One of Robert P's children was Nathaniel Karr Allison, who was reported missing in the battle of Fair Oaks on May 31, 1862. My info also states that Martha Allison married a G. Glenn Robinson, but no other info. I have names of 8 children for Robert P Allison & Nancy Dill Russel Allison, but not much other info on them. I have info on names, etc descending from my ancester, James Russell Allison (brother of Martha Allison, to and including my grandchildren. I would be happy to share any other information. 3. I've so far roughly traced my own origins back as far as a Joseph Allison born circa June 1765 in Shiptonthorpe, East Riding of Yorkshire. My own line of the family later moved south down to Birmingham area with one son in this line subsequently heading off to Australia early 1900's.
