John SLAUGHTER brought his family to the Mississippi Territory @ 1809. Two of his sons, James and John, married daughters of Benjamin Murrell; his son Samuel married Elizabeth WILDER, daughter of Lee and Sarah (Mials) WILDER of Wake Co., NC. John Slaughter's daughter Betsey married John JONES. I think this is John A. JONES who was living in McNairy County, TN in time for the 1840 census.
