I am interested in all Stephensons who came to Limestone County,AL.,but especially interested in Samuel Stephenson who came was living in Limestone County,AL. in 1822 when his son George Alexander Stephenson was born. The wife of Samuel Stephenson was Mary Shields. George Alexander Stephenson married Elizabeth Sarah Perry in Giles County,TN. in 1849. Samuel Stephenson came to Giles County,TN. before 1820.from York County,S.C.and appears on the 1820 census of Giles County,TN. as Samuel" Stevenson" with two sons. George Alexander Stephenson was born five miles west of Athens,Alabama. In 1850 Samuel Stephenson was living once again in Giles County,TN. In 1860, Samuel Stephenson was living in Madison County,AL.
