I had been wanting to know the same thing and went there this past Tuesday. Today it is where the roads cross, one way goes to the Salem Minor Hill road, the other to Bethel (Giles County, TN), one way to Legtown (Limestone, AL) and the other way to Stella (Giles County, TN). We went from Stella on to Legtown. We meet two men in a buggy and stopped and asked if Gourdsville and Gilbertsboro was the same place,,in which he replied "Yes". We went on to Legtown and saw a cemetery, turned around and came back a little ways and went by Walnut Grove Church on to Bethel, then back up Gourdsville Road across the Stella-Legtown Road at Gilbertsborro/Gourdsville up the road to the Minor Hill-Salem Road. You can say Gilbertsboro is in Limestone Co., AL, near the Giles Co, TN line. Onced a big place, now without a building at the cross road. If you go there be sure to go to the Gilbert Cemetery in Giles County, near Bethel. I'm guessing Gilbertsboro was named after this family. Sue Davis
