Hello researchers I am new to this list. I am looking for anyone with connections to two families living in Limestone Co, AL in the early to mid 1800's. The first is: Levi CUMMINGS (sometimes written CUMMINS) who married Nancy GRANT , the widow of William GRANT who died 1827 in Madison Co AL. Levi and Nancy married Feb 7, 1830. I have found them in AL 1830 Census and Nancy with her children are in the AL 1840 Census. The children of William GRANT/Nancy ? were : Sarah R GRANT - married Henry BIBB (my ancestors) Eliza C GRANT - married Alfred CAGE on Jan 8 1822 ( this is the second Limestone Co family I'm seeking ) Emily G GRANT Patsy A.W. GRANT Harriett GRANT John S Washington GRANT Nancy GRANT - married Lewis MONTARY Alexander GRANT Egbert GRANT The children of Eliza (Elizabeth) C. GRANT / Alfred CAGE living in Limestone Co in the AL1850 and AL1860 Censuses are: Mary B CAGE b.abt 1826 Rachael CAGE b abt 1828 John CAGE b abt 1832 Frances CAGE b abt 1834 Henry B CAGE b abt 1836 Nancy J CAGE b abt 1846 Does anyone recognize these names ???
