Posted on: Limestone County Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Al/Limestone/10558 Surname: Laurence, Clem, Hardin ------------------------- I am looking for info on sisters Martha H. and Matilda Hardin. Martha was born in Limestone County, Al in 1829. She and her sis were reportedly full or half blood Cherokees whose parents died either just before or during the great Trail of Tears migration to Oklahoma. Family history (verbal) is that they were "adopted" by a family named Hardin who raised them in Limestone County. Both sisters supposedly married Clem's, with Martha marrying William B. Clem in Limestone Co. on 6/7/1848. Martha and William migrated to Izard County, AR where both died in the 1870's. Anyone with info on these girls, esp. Martha, please e-mail me.
