Joseph & Elizabeth (GIBSON) DAWSON were both b. SC, and lived in TN, where their children were born from 1800 to about 1817, then moved to Limestone Co. AL. A lot happened in the next few years, births, marriages, deaths, etc. By tracking the collateral lines, you often find what you need for your direct line. I believe my direct line is through their son Joseph DAWSON and wife Elizabeth KIMBALL. I'm trying to prove that and need help. It was a large family, some of whom stayed in Limestone Co. and others moved into Mississippi.
