I have learned some new info on the Charles Raney Family, thought I would share in case someone on the list is also researching this family. Charles Albert Raney was born Dec. 28, 1901 in Tennessee but lived most of his life in Limestone Co. AL. He was the son of John Raney & Rebeca Mitchell Raney. Charles Albert Raney was married twice : First wife was Mary Belle Adams, and his second wife was Ruth Long. Charles Albert Raney died April 1, 1983 in Athens Hospital of a heart attack, he is buried next to his first wife in Higgins Cemetery. Ruth Long Raney died Feb. 15, 1993 in the Athens Convalescent Center, she is buried in Booth Chapel Cemetery in Giles Co. TN.
