    3. Posted on: Limestone County Queries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/USA/Al/Limestone/513 Surname: Scott ------------------------- If he died at gettysburg it is likely he was in the 4th,9th, or maybe 15th alabama? The 9th had two companies from limestone county under Capt. Thomas Hobbs and Capt. D? Houston. Gaines Smith from Limestone county was later colonel. I think the best bet would be the 4th alabama. They had many men from Madison county in their unit and they saw quite a bit of action at gettysburg I am told, although I have never researched this.

    2. Sharon Frail
    3. Just curious if anyone has information on the James Roberts family of Limestone Co.,AL. I am researching Reams/Reames there. Several Reams are mentioned in an abstract of his will (1840's). I believe his wife Ann was a Reams and the Reams mentioned in his will were possibly her daughters from a previous marriage or sisters. An age for him might help clear this up. Also, a Henry J. Reams was involved in his estate settlement. One of the women mentioned, Julia Anne Reams married a Brumbelowe. Thanks, Sharon
