We know that she and at least seven of her children came to Texas in 1837 but believe some stayed in TN and AL and that some of them went to Arkansas. I need proof that Denisa Harrison was her daughter. She was born 1825 and married David Gage abt 1846 supposedly in Polk County Arkansas. They were in Texas by 1847. He died and she married Levi McClure in Bastrop or Fayette County, Texas. If you have any information on this family please let me know.

    3. Posted on: Limestone County Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Al/Limestone/10519 Surname: McGehee, Hill, Oliver, Burleson, Owen, Tate, Wright, Oliver ------------------------- I may have talked with you directly, some time ago, but I'm not sure. I have an Abram/Abraham McGehee born about 1790 probably in GA to Micajah & Nancy Ann Scott McGehee of Wilkes Co, GA. Abram married three times; 1) Catherine Penniston, 2) a Miss Smith, & 3) Harriett A. Hill, daughter of Theophilus & Polly Jordan Hill. Theophilus died in 1829, while he was visiting SOMEONE in Auburn, Lee County, AL. There were many ties between Limestone County and the newer Lee County area in those years, and your Abram McGehee might well have been associated with both places. Are you sure Judith Walker Pennick was his only wife? Al Hill

    1. [ALLIMEST] LISTOWNER: New Rule--please read
    2. Kim Ivey
    3. Listmembers, In the interest of privacy I have created a new rule. From now on, please do not forward messages to the list unless you have permission from the original author, and then state in the message that you have permission from the author. This means that if your Aunt Fanny sends you an e-mail with family info, don't send it to the list unless you have Aunt Fanny's permission, and when you do get Aunt Fanny's permission please say something to the effect that "I have Aunt Fanny's permission to forward this" or something like that. The reason I made this rule is this. People who send you messages may not want the whole world to read it. And if you forward personal messages without permission, you may have done more than just tick somebody off. That somebody could seek legal action if he/she wanted to. And it's just plain good manners to ask first. If anybody has any questions about this, please contact me privately. Thank you for your time. I apologize for the interruption, and try to keep my "Listowner" message to a minimum. Now back to regularly scheduled programming. Sincerely, Kim Ivey [email protected]
