    1. [ALLIMEST] Re: VEST-ARNETT-SPRINGER-LOKEY
    2. I just read your post regarding Arnett family members. Even though I do not have the information that you are searching for, I do have Arnett's in my family from the Limestone County area. And, I feel sure that I have heard the name "Vest" mentioned in our family at some time or another. I am hoping that you may have Arnett information that would be beneficial to me, at the same time perhaps I can help you in your research of the Arnett family, as well as the Vest family. The Arnett's that I am related to is: John D. Arnett >married Maude Bell McGuire on 7/29/1920, she was born 2/1/1897 and died 2/4/1979. Children: Martha, William Cecil, J.D. Jr. & Thomas Andrew. The only Arnett information that I have currently is the above. Do you have information on a John D. Arnett in your records? Other SURNAMES: Bailey, Reyer, McGuire, Smith. Ann

    1. [ALLIMEST] Garrison Family
    2. Wolfman
    3. Hello! Need a lookup for Lucille Garrison on 1920 Limestone County, Alabama census. She was born January 10, 1917, according to her gravestone. January 10, 1918, according to Social Security information. She was supposedly born in Giles County, TN but I cannot find her on the 1920 Giles census. I strongly suspect she was a descendant of Peter Garrison of Limestone County, Alabama. Lucille married Odis/Otis CLEM probably 1937-1947 in Limestone County. Odis died in 1957, and is buried in Elkmont. She then married Finius Ewing Johnson in Giles county in 1961. Finius died in 1978, and Lucille then married Ernest L. "Speck" Hargrove. She died in December 1984, and is buried in Giles Memorial Cemetery. We do not know her parents' identity. We hope you can help us! At the bottom of your note under the NOTE:, you provide a lot of information regarding the Malones. Can you tell me where this information came from. Also, is "Tombstone Inscriptions of Limestone County, Alabama" a published book and did all the information under NOTE come from this book? Also, could you send me your e-mail address so that we could correspond by e-mail without using the message board? I am located at rbd00001@aol.com

    3. Hi folks, I'm new to the list, and so here comes the usual plea for help! :-) My brick wall is my g, g grandfather John Anthony Shoemaker, b 6-18-1818, AL (Miss Terr), not sure what county. I know there were quite a few Shoemakers living in Limestone and Madison counties around that time, so I've been looking there. I know of a James Shoemaker who I suspect may be the father of John; he was in Limestone co in 1819 and lived in Madison Co, Mississippi in 1809. John Anthony Shoemaker first appears in a FC in the 1840 Saline Co, AR census, where he married and raised his family. The 1880 census says his father was from GA. If anyone knows anything about the Shoemakers in AL, or has suggestions on where to look, I'd love to hear from you. Thanks much, Ray Shoemaker __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Make international calls for as low as $.04/minute with Yahoo! Messenger http://phonecard.yahoo.com/

Easter Researching EASTER - VA,GA, AL, MS GORDON - MS, AL BALLARD - MS STANCER - IN, MO, KS >> Wayne, I do have some information on the EASTER / GRUBBS connection. I can tell you that Elizabeth connects to my Enoch GRUBBS line through marriage. I will have to "dig up" this information since it has been a while since I have addressed this particular connection. If I am not able to email you regarding this line later tonight, I will endeavor to do so as soon as possible. I homeschool my child and we are in the middle of testing (year round school) but I will get to this as soon as I can. If memory serves though, I believe Elizabeth / Betsy was Elizabeth BAKER and she married Enoch GRUBBS, III. Enoch GRUBBS, III (son of Enoch GRUBBS, II and Sarah Rhoda PARNELL & grandson of Enoch GRUBBS, I and Florid K. BURTON), died fairly young leaving a widow (Elizabeth BAKER GRUBBS) and two young daughters. I forget the circumstances of Elizabeth's migration to AL unless it was with her new husband, Mr. EASTER. I can't recall if they met in SC or AL. I also believe Mr. EASTER had a son by a previous marriage. One of Enoch GRUBBS and Elizabeth BAKER GRUBBS EASTER's daughters married this son. As I said, the details of this connection are sketchy. I will check my files and email you. I am excited to have heard from a connection to these lines and am looking forward to exchanging information with you. Thanks for responding.
