I am looking for info. on Mary Ann (Motes) McLain b: abt.1830 in GA. I am assuming Mary Ann married ? McLain abt:1846 as her first son was born in 1847, which would have made her abt: 17. The 1870 census record of Limestone has her being born in Ga. and her parents in S.C. Children are: Thomas 1847, Necy Jane 1855 (g-grandmother), George W. 1856, Henry M. 1857/58. I have been told Necy Jane was born in Cedartown Ga. and Thomas and George also in Ga. Henry in Al. Mary Ann (Motes) McLain's husband suposedly died in the civil war from disease.
