    1. [ALLIMEST] GREESON, HODGES, DAVIS
    2. Lois Weaver
    3. I am looking for information on Augustus A. Greeson b. Jan 1811 and his descendants. I don't know where Augustus was born, but first information I have of him is when he buys land in Giles Co, TN in 1833. His first child, Nathaniel, was b. 183l. His mother was Lucy Hodges (he states on a church record). At the time of his death in 1848, Augustus' wife was Mary. I've been unable to find marriage records with either lady. Augustus had children William Henry who married Christiana Andrews; Mary Ann who married Thomas Davis; John Carrol, Harriett who married John W. Smith and Thomas L. Nathaniel and Thomas were members of Co F, 9th AL Inf in the Civil War. Augustus was a constable in Limestone Co - probably until his death. He is buried in the New Garden Cemetery near Athens, AL. In the same cemetery is a John Greeson - what relation, if any??? Nathaniel and his wife Elvira (Andrews) are buried in the Wid Legg cemetery near Athens, AL. Their four sons migrated to Texas in the early 1890's. Any information about this family would be deeply appreciated

    1. [ALLIMEST] Weston, Hodge
    2. Ellis
    3. I am trying to find my ggg grandfathers name. His mother was Elizabeth Julia (possibly Hodge) Weston. She was rumored to have had a child out of wedlock or a previous marriage Lydia Hodge born circa 1823. She married (marriage cert. not been found) a "Weston" sometime. She has known children with that Weston named, Moses Riley Weston born 1826 in Morgan county, AL per army records. He joined the army and served and died in the War with Mexico in 1847. She also has a daughter Nephanny ( nettie, neffie, neffa( Weston who was born in 1828 and married John Butler in Blount county, AL, and a son (my ggg grandfather) named Jasper Newton Weston who was born in 1833 and married Elizabeth Lucinda Fortner in Blount co, AL. It is rumored that the Weston I am looking for came from Ohio but I have no proof. IT is also rumored he could have been married before and had sons named Bill and Baker Weston. Though I have found Bill and Baker Westons, I have never been able to tie them to my mystery Weston. Elizabeth Julia Weston would have been born circa 1799-1800. She states she was born in Virginia. some old information states she had a father Hugh Hodge. Elizabeth Julia Weston owned mills in Marshall county, AL in 1840. She has court documents where she summoned all adjacent land owners to come and stated she posed "No known Health Hazard" by building a dam on the Big Spring Valley spring. She had children between censuses and you would think that one of the Weston's on the 1830 census in AL would be my mystery Weston but the counties and information I have does not make this connection at this time. Is anyone researching the name Weston? or Hodge? Jasper Newton Weston had 11 children and college educated all of them in the 1880's and 1890's. Is anyone researching these names? Joan
