    3. OK. That's the couple I was thinking of. Your husband didn't ever hear of any OTHER Harvey Bolin, did he? My Harvey Bolin (b. 1874) (my great-grandfather) killed a man in 1900 at Lynchburg, and then was "never heard from again." My Harvey is very definitely NOT your husband's Harvey (there were 2 or 3 of them running around at about the same time, in the same general area), but wonder if your husband's grandpa ever had to deal with or contend with cases of mistaken identity, where folks thought he was my Harvey (the murderer)? Or maybe there were other "cousin" Harveys, or Uncle Harveys - who may have been my man. Any insights appreciated. Linda B. I had been wanting to know the same thing and went there this past Tuesday. Today it is where the roads cross, one way goes to the Salem Minor Hill road, the other to Bethel (Giles County, TN), one way to Legtown (Limestone, AL) and the other way to Stella (Giles County, TN). We went from Stella on to Legtown. We meet two men in a buggy and stopped and asked if Gourdsville and Gilbertsboro was the same place,,in which he replied "Yes". We went on to Legtown and saw a cemetery, turned around and came back a little ways and went by Walnut Grove Church on to Bethel, then back up Gourdsville Road across the Stella-Legtown Road at Gilbertsborro/Gourdsville up the road to the Minor Hill-Salem Road. You can say Gilbertsboro is in Limestone Co., AL, near the Giles Co, TN line. Onced a big place, now without a building at the cross road. If you go there be sure to go to the Gilbert Cemetery in Giles County, near Bethel. I'm guessing Gilbertsboro was named after this family. Sue Davis

    3. Listmembers, When advertising web sites, chats, books, services, etc. please only advertise things having to do with this county or the state of Alabama. Messages pertaining to other geographical areas or genealogy in general are not allowed on this list. RootsWeb has hundreds of lists for practically every geographical area and genealogical interest, so there is no need to post off-topic messages even if they are of a genealogical nature. Also keep in mind most people consider any advertising (even if it is genealogy related) as spam, and by posting such messages you can open yourself to flaming and hate mail. I don't mean to appear narrow-minded or undiplomatic. I am only doing what I think is best for the list. If you have any questions, comments or concerns please e-mail me privately. Thank you for your cooperation. Sincerely, Kim Ivey <[email protected]> Listowner
