Hi, I am new to the list today, and am searching for the burial site for my lost ancestor, Joseph "Marion" MURPHY, he was born in March 1884 in Jackson Co., TN and died after 1944 in Limestone Co., AL. The reason I know he was still alive in 1944, is because I found his mothers obit in TN that gave his location just as Alabama. Thru death records, SSDI, I found his son George B. MURPHY and he lived and died in Limestone Co., AL. I am hoping to find them both buried at the same cemetery. Is there a book published that has the surnames of all persons buried in Limestone County? I would so very much appreciate a look-up. Any help would be most appreciated. Regards, Bobbie Murphy Farley OH
I am interested in James H. Stephenson who married Martha Montgomery in Limestone in the 1850's. I find this same James H. Stephenson living close to Brunsons in Giles County,TN.in 1850. I know that there were Brunsons living in Limestone. Is there a connection between the Stephensons,Brunson, and Montgomerys. Tom Stephenson

Hi everyone, I need some information about Limestone Co. from 1839 - 1843. Capt. Thomas PHILLIPS of Limestone Co. (1787 VA-1857 AL), my ancestor, lived in Elkmont, Limestone Co., AL when he died. His daughter by his first marriage, Lillian "Elizabeth" PHILLIPS, married my ggggrandfather Robert B. THOMSON in 1831 (can't find record of marriage). Robert B. and his new little family moved to New Madrid, St. Charles Co., MO either in 1838 or 1841. Robert died a year after he moved to MO. Since both of them had been long residents of Limestone Co., and Capt. Thomas Phillips still lived there, I was hoping to find some kind of obit, or probate records for Robert B. THOMSON. I don't know the name of Robert's parents. Robert may be somehow connected to Nathaniel TERRY of Limestone Co., AL, since he named his 2nd son Nathaniel Terry THOMSON. So any assistance would be deeply appreciated. Thanks, Donna
