    3. Hello! Thanks very much for your e-mail! I had a look at your web-site, and found it v. interesting. Perhaps you would like details of some of the other Allerstons I have in my files? You are quite right about William (1) Allerston marrying Mary Munkman, not Sarah - slip of the keyboard!! In addition to their sons Henry & Francis, I also have the following children: Elizabeth (a)chr. July 1769 Ann chr. Jan 1771 William (2) chr. July 1772 Sarah (a) chr. Dec 1779, d. Dec. 1785 Susan b. 1781 Margaret chr. Dec 1781 John (1) chr. Nov 1783 Sarah (b) chr. Feb. 1786 Elizabeth (b) chr. Aug 1790 Admittedly a couple of these could be questioned (duplicate names etc.), but from info from IGI and another source, David Marshall, who is also researching the Allerston family, they do seem to be part of our tree*. For Francis (1) & Ann, I have two sons from the IGI: John (2) chr. Oct 1802 William chr. Apr 1811 For Henry (d. 1861) and his wives I have all the same children as you (i.e. Robert, Henry (d. 1869), William, Mary Jane) except John (3) , who I did not know about! Apart from my 3xgreat grandmother, Elizabeth (b. 1835), Henry (2) and his wife Jane Dalby had the following children: Sarah Jane, b. 1833 Nathaniel, b. 1837 Bryan, b. 1839 m Arabella ?, 1 son Henry, b. 1871 in Scarboro', all d. London 1905, 1933 & 1940 respectively~ John (4), b. 1842 Jane, b. 1844 Ann, b. 1849 Hannah, b. 1851 m. George Hall 1875 (info. from David Marshall) ~I found this out by accident when looking at the Abney Park Cemetery on-line records, and traced them back through the 1901 census. Elizabeth married John Bradley of Malton in 1855 and had 8 children including my great great grandfather Allerston Bradley, who passed on the name Allerston as a Christian (middle) name to all of his four children. My great grandmother Ida Allerston Bradley passed the name to her son Arthur Allerston Jones, who in turn passed in on to all his children and grandchildren. Ida's brother Arthur Allerston Bradley passed the name to his son (also Arthur), sadly both of these were killed fighting in the world wars. I guess that you will already have seen a copy of the EYFHS Sewerby Monumental Inscriptions, but if not let me know and I will let you have the relevant (?) Allerston info. Hope this is of interest! Best regards, Alex (* David also provided me with information from a Pat Frykberg of New Zealand about her Allerston relatives. She alluded to William (1) & Mary having a 12th child, and said that many of them died young. She is a descendant of W & M's son Francis (1), and has a record of them having another son as well as John & William (3b, her ancestor) - Francis (2), chr. 1803. I understand that one branch of the family (poss. this one) emigrated to South Africa during 19th Century.) >From: ALLERSTON-D-request@rootsweb.com >Reply-To: ALLERSTON-L@rootsweb.com >To: ALLERSTON-D@rootsweb.com >Subject: ALLERSTON-D Digest V02 #1 >Date: Mon, 9 Dec 2002 04:00:05 -0700 > ><< message2.txt >> ><< message4.txt >> ><< message6.txt >> _________________________________________________________________ The new MSN 8: smart spam protection and 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail

    3. Hi Alex, Have had a good look at the info re Henry & Jane (Dalby), this is stuff I do not have, can you provide me with any evidence to back up the dates etc ? I also noticed that you do not have Mary born 8/11/1774 in your list of children of Henry & Mary (Munkman) Thanks once again, Steve ----- Original Message ----- From: "Alex France" <alexefrance@hotmail.com> To: <ALLERSTON-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, December 09, 2002 5:38 PM Subject: [ALLERSTON] ALLERSTON > Hello! > > Thanks very much for your e-mail! > > I had a look at your web-site, and found it v. interesting.
