Her youngest son, Ernest Edward, is my father. I was told that Joseph H. Taresh heard there was a Bohemian girl living 'in the area' so he rode his horse to where Rosa was living. The impression I have is that Rosa was working for her room and board. I am not sure of the state or town. Joseph asked the farmer if he could marry Rosa and the farmer said yes.
