>From the FLORENCE TIMES JOURNAL, (Lauderdale County, AL) Wednesday, June 11, 1873 STATE OF ALA., LAUDERDALE CO. Probate Court, Special Term, of said county, May 29, 1873 This day came BLUFORD T. ALLEN, and produced to the court a paper purporting to be the last will and testament of HENRY D. ALLEN, deceased, and moves the court to admit the same to probate, and issue letters testamentary thereon to him, and it appearing from the affidavit of Petitioner that the following named persons are the widow and next of kin of said Testator, namely: MARCY R. ALLEN, widow, who resides in Lauderdale county, Alabama. The children of MARY WOOD, deceased, whose names, ages and sex are unknown to petitioner, and reside, when last heard from, in Austin county, State of Texas. The children of EDWARD MORRIS, deceased, whose names, ages, sex, etc, are unknown to petitioner, and whose residence, when last known, was Austin county, Texas; the children of HENRY D. SHELBORN, deceased, who reside in Austin county, Texas, whose names, ages, and sex are unknown to petitioner; the children of JOHN P. SHELBORN, who reside in Milam county, Texas, whose names, ages, and sex are unknown to petitioner; ELIZA HASTEN, wife of HENRY HASTEN, who resides in Washington county, Texas; MOLLY DAVIDSON, wife of ______ DAVIDSON, who resides in Oxford, in the State of Mississippi; the children of HENRY D. MILES, deceased, who reside in Panola county, Miss., whose names, ages, and sex are unknown to petitioner; HENRY D. ALLEN, a minor, a about eleven years of age, who resides in Tishomingo county, Mississippi; BLUFORD T. ALLEN, over age, resides in Lauderdale County, Alabama; MARY RICHARDSON, wife of WESLEY RICHARDSON, residing in Lauderdale county, Alabama; SARAH ALLEN, over age of 21 years, who resides in Lauderdale county, Alabama; EMELINE ALLEN, over 21 years of age, residing in Lauderdale county, Alabama; MARTHA ALLEN, over 21 years of age, resides in Lauderdale county, Alabama; ELIZA TOLLIVER, wife of WILLIAM TOLLIVER, residing in Watervalley, Yellowbush county, Mississippi; BLUFORD T. ALLEN, (Petitioner) resides in Lauderdale county, Alabama, and NELSON G. ALLEN, over 21 years, residing in Lauderdale county, Alabama; ELIZABETH TODD, wife of RICHARD TODD, who resides in Lawrence county, Tennessee; HENRY D. PETTUS, ANN PETTUS, WINSTON PETTUS, MARTHA PETTUS, and MARTHA BRIGS, all over 21 years of age, and residents of Lauderdale county, Alabama; MARY BELEW, wife of JESSE BELEW, who resides in Alcorn county, Mississippi; MARGARET CHISHOLM, wife of BENJ. F. CHISHOLM, who resides in Kaufman county, Texas: And the court having appointed the 23d day of June, 1873 to hear and pass upon said petition. ----- Now, therefore, this is to give notice to the widow, and said next of kin, resident, and non-resident, that they may appear on the day and date aforesaid, and contest said petition if they see proper. And it is ordered that this notice of the time of the hearing of said petition to the said widow, and said next of kin of said Testator, some of whom are non-residents of the State of Alabama, be made in the FLORENCE TIMES-JOURNAL, a newspaper published in the town of Florence, Lauderdale county, Ala., for three successive weeks.
