Good Morning All, For those of you that might not know about it, and for those of you that have been thinking "I want to get a copy of that book," now may be the time to do it. Personally, I will tell you that it is a real treasure trove of family information, local history and lore. Regarding the availability of the Lauderdale County, Alabama Heritage Book, Millie Mason gave me the following information. If you are interested in obtaining a book, please contact Millie OFF LIST for particulars at loray2358@comcast.net . : ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Sales of the reprinted Heritage Book of Lauderdale County have been going well. The book has over 800 family stories, old schools and churches, businesses, military, all historical markers in Lauderdale County, history of Lauderdale County and the cities, towns and communities. Lots of old family pictures are included with the articles and it is indexed by last names. I have about 15 left at home and the company has some. If anyone would like a copy of this book of history, they may contact me at: loray2358@comcast.net. Another reprint is not planned. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Before I forget it, Millie is also the author/compiler of "Waterloo School Through the Ages 1800s through 2002" so if you have interests in the Waterloo area, you might want to consider this book. It's soft cover, 81/2 X 11 inches, has a full name index. Very easy to use for research, and also nice to just read. For those of you from Waterloo, it would be a real nostalgia trip.
