My "brick wall" is the THORNBERRY family. They were in Lauderdale Co. ca 1820's - 1850's. Joseph A. Thornberry Wife: Mildred (possibly a Fuqua) Children: John W.; Jonathan m. Margaret McLemore; Ruthy m. Robert McLemore; Charles; Wiley; Margaret Tabitha m. Theophilus Wall; and Nancy m. John Stanford. Joseph A. Thornberry bought acreage in 1818 near Elks River in Limestone Co., Ala. He died in 1825. Wife Mildred married again in 1828 to Howell McLemore. Guardian to children was Washington G. L. Foley; Andrew Mc Peters was a second guardian appointed in 1836. Administrator of Joseph A. Thornberry's estate was Archibald Fuqua. It is possible that Mildred was a Fuqua.
