I need a little help with something... I hope someone has some answers. In the Lauderdale Co. Al Court House marriages there is listed a marriage for Causburn Clemons to Racheal Besho on Feb 1833... now many of you know I am researching the Clemmons... and we have never found anyone by the name of Causburn.... so I dug a little deeper and found this in Lauderdale co. Claborn Besha Estate Sale Dec 12 1840 in Lauderdale Co. AL only name mentioned was "Erwn Belsh" Now .. could it be that Causburn Clemons that married Racheal Besho... was really Claborn Besho.. and married Racheal Clemons... It wouldnt be the first one I have saw that was reversed. Or is the Marriage record correct and the probate wrong..... How about it researchers.... do you have any Bishop families in Lauderdale in 1833 that is missing a son...... or can anyone shine some light on these families.... I hope to find out that someone is missing a Clairborn Bishop.. or a Erwin Bishop.... Does anyone have a census with a Claborn Bishop, Racheal Bishop or Erwin Bishop on it? Curtis Clemmons was the father of most of the Clemmons children that married in Lauderdale Al ....However we cant find him on the 1830 census anywhere... but we know that he was in Lauderdale by 1832.. and if this is a Racheal Clemmons ... she could likely be a daughter of Curtis Clemmons....
