I'm a great granddaughter of James T Henson and Elmira Whitten, who died around 1885-95 in Lauderdale Co and were buried at Murphy Chapel Cemetery. Trying to determine where the children went upon the death of their parents. Elmira died first (causes and date unknown). I found one of their children, Nancy Jane, age 6 living with the Isac Spain family in the 1880 census, listed as their niece. Elmira was still alive in 1880. Eventually the children went to the Waco, TX area. I'm told they lived with a Spain family there, too.
