    3. Does anyone know whether Lauderdale Co, AL or the area around St. Joe TN had an outbreak of TB or another illness which involves the spitting up of blood in the early 1900's (1912-1915)? Mention is made in a family diary of someone sick, spitting up blood, being taken to St Joe and then dying within 2 yrs. But the missing diary is the year in which the person died. 3. In Lauderdale County, had one ancestor die of typhoid in 1916. He was about 21 and wouldn't have traveled out of that area, and it would have been contagious. Whether it involves "spitting up of blood" I don't know.
