Hello, I am researching my husbands family and my Allens are a brick wall. This is what I am sure of. My mother in laws father was Fred Lee Allen. He married Annie Mae South. Fred's mother and father were Nesbit N. Allen and Margaret Ann Looney. They were married Feb. 12, 1893 in Colbert County Alabama. Nesbit was born June 28, 1873 and died Dec. 30, 1919 or 1918. Margaret was born Oct. 17, 1875 died Feb. 12, 1963. They are buried in KP Cemetary in Russellville, Al. After this I have no idea. One family member thought Nesbit's father was also a Nesbit. But I have found no record of it. We are speculating that His father may have been Joseph H. Allen and mother was Candisa Allen but have found no proof. Joseph's father may have been Niriam A. Allen and mother Elizabeth. Niriam's father may be L. Allen. But as I said before there is no proof. I am still searching. As for Margaret I have found tons on her line of Looneys.
