    3. You can find lots of old names at: http://geonames.usgs.gov/ ; click on <http://geonames.usgs.gov/pls/gnispublic/f?p=gnispq>U.S. and territories Query . It shows the following in Limestone county next door to Lauderdale: Feature ID:166333 Name:Tickridge Post Office (historical) Class:Post Office Citation:U.S. Post Office Dept. Record of Site Locations 1837-1950: Alabama Counties. National Archives Microfilm Publication M1126. Entry Date:01-Dec-2003 County State Country Limestone Alabama US Map Name Cairo So it might not be on current maps, but if you find an old one, look near Cairo in Limestone Co. Or, maybe that part of today's Limestone Co was in Lauderdale at some point. For example: http://www.archives.state.al.us/counties/limeston.html says >An act of the state General Assembly on 1821 Nov. 27 gave to the >county all of the land belonging to Lauderdale County, in the fork >of the Tennessee and Elk Rivers, east of range six. Good luck in your searches. -CNS At 05:00 PM 8/19/2005, you wrote: >ALLAUDER-D Digest Volume 05 : Issue 67 > > #4 Where is Tickridge?
