I was told that Mildred Kimbrough had died in January. I had lost touch with her. I met Mildred about 20 years ago. She was one fine lady. She took me and my aunt to Blue Water Creek and to the Coffee-Fritts Cemetery. Thomas Graves Coffee and his family lived at Blue Water Creek and he and his wife Mary Knight Coffee are buried in the Coffee cemetery. Carlisle Woodson Knight, my g-g-grandfather, is also buried there. He was married to their granddaughter Caroline Cordelia Frances Jackson. Mildred and I both descend from Elizabeth Woodson Coffee who married Stewart Jackson. Her g-g-grandmother was Catherine Cassandra Amanda Melvina Woodson Jackson who married Dempsey Bulls. Wil all those beautiful names she was called "Kate." Was told by one of the Jackson "cousins" that her genealogy papers were given to someone in Lauderdale county (Pat Mahan/Myhan). Is this our list-mom? If so wonder if there is any info in those papers about The Jackson, Coffee, Knight and related families by pertain to my part of the family. Thanx. Betty.
