Mary: In tracing my family I have come across two contact points with your Minton Family. 1. William Alfred Minto married Elizabeth McPeters on July 12, 1832 in Lauderdale County. He was born 1708 and she was born 1816. She died soon after the birth of Robert, born 1833. Other children were born in Texas, Samuel, born 1841, Marcia, born 1841 and Virginia born 1847. I dont know the connection with the Shelburns but in another of my lines a Samuel married Nancy E. Marrs abt Feb 26, 11929 and he died August 1838 in Lauderdale County. She later married Phillip W. Anderson after Samuel died. Her father was John Marrs. His middle name may have been Albert and his wife might have been Nancy J. Stone. This information given to me but I have been unable to proove it. Bill
