Could use help with Wesley RICHARDSON who was on the 1860 census for this county. I am presently in Ireland and if anyone has this census available would appreciate tremendously a lookup. I am just starting research on this individual. Thank you, Charmaine Riley Holley arkivemom@aol.com proud sponsor of Rootsweb

About a year ago, some kind soul on this list provided me some information which I subsequently lost. I'd appreciate if this person could help out again. I was trying to locate the precise area near Anderson (Lauderdale Co.) where my 3rd great-grandfather, Peterson McGill, was living at the time of the 1880 census. Someone had forwarded to me previously that Peterson's son David McGill had a patent on some land near Anderson, which he relinquished in the early 1890's (shortly after Peterson's death). Can anyone provide me with that land-grant info again? I've searched the Bureau of Land Management Site with no luck... Thanks, Jim Davis

Good Morning Folks, I'm passing along information given to me by one of the members of the book committee. They have been told that they SHOULD have 'a June Book' - They were not given a date/day of arrival. This means that it isn't going to be too much longer before it arrives, since we are already in the merry month of May [what happened to Jan through Apr???]. Pat

Hello lists, I have just gotten home after 4 1/2 hrs of transcribing EVERY grave marker in Lone Cedar Cemetery- both old and new sides. Our library has one done several years ago by Mr Irons and Dr Russel, but mine is up to date as of today. If you would like to check on ancestors/relatives you think are in Lone Cedar, you may email me PRIVATELY at alangley@hiwaay.net with a request. Please only one surname per request, and please allow for the fact that I am also substitute teaching so it may take awhile to get an answer. Please be patient!!! I will get you an answer one way or another. Some of the names that appear multiple times includes : BEHEL, PEDEN, CLEMMONS, BRETHERICK, McLAUGHLIN, CABLER, WATKINS, COCHRAN, MASSEY, and others. Good Hunting!! Anna alangley@hiwaay.net
Dear Sherry (SLLedlow) I didnt get your e-mail address so maybe this will reach you. I have searched thru my Freeman lines and cant find any Joseph but its possible. I just dint have much info. 1860 Ala census shows Mary Freeman, Age 55, Lauderdale Co, Florence and a 13 yr. old boy Wiley F. Freeman living with her. Her son? She shows to be bedridden. I am afraid that is about all I know. Sorry Good luck, Andrew Texohio2@aol.com
