Also, are there any tax lists or voters registration lists for the 1880's. I'm most interested in one before 1886. Trying to find my ancestors somewhere. Judy

    2. Hi everyone! I've been gone from the lists for a long time and wondered if there was anyone researching the surname RICHARDSON. In particular, I'm trying to find Thomas Richardson born 1816. Family says he was born in Charleston, SC, but we've never been able to find him there, even with 2 professional researchers. Other family members insist he was born in SC but lived in Alabama most of his life. I found him in Trinity County, TX in 1853 where he finally decided to stay put and stop wandering around. He may have even changed his name to Watson (first or last name?) according to history passed down from older family members that knew him. Apparently he got into some trouble in "Old Sumpter" and made a run for it..... May have male family members named James, John or even Jacob or Francis... just a hunch on my part though. I sincerely appreciate any help at all with this guy. Amy McCroskie

I am researching the James Jackson family that moved to Lauderdale County from Nashville, TN, in 1818. They built the "Forks of Cypress" plantation and raised 10 children. They had a racetrack on the plantation. James Jackson was an immigrant from Ireland and he died in 1840. Sarah Moore McCulloch Jackson was born in 1790 in North Carolina and came from a distinguished Moore line. She lived at the "Forks" until her death in 1879. I am interested in talking with anyone who knows about this family or who is researching this same line. James and Sally's youngest son George Moore Jackson is my link. He married Sarah Cabell Perkins whose sister Elizabeth Perkins married George's brother James Jackson. 2. Hi, I am new to genealogy and sometimes am just lucky. Much of my research centers in Lauderdale Co. AL and I just happen to find your list. Also, I found the 1900 census for the county somewhere but can't find it again. Can you help? Also, I need to know how to get further info. on someone I found on the census. William Fulton, 2A was listed. His father, Jordan Fulton, died there in 1910 but I found no mention of him. My grandfather lived in Florence for many years and is buried there. He is Williams brother and lived until 1957. His name was Robert Wesley Fulton. Any info on this family would be greatly appreciated. My mother Stella Fulton graduated from Coffee High School in 1930. Thanks, Jean Jarrell Jjarr34452@aol.com
