Hi Listers, Mikle/Michael Long, born 1798, Ireland married Nancy Webb, born 1800, Ga., in Lauderdale county in 1821, son of Mikle, Francis Marion, born 1830, Al., married Julia Ann Lamb, born 1831, Al., d/o Morgan Lamb and Rhoda Hardin. James JACKSON b. 1799 in Ireland came to Lauderdale County in AL near 1820. He married Sarah "Sally" Moore McCulloch and they had 10 children. They built the "Forks of Cypress" plantation and he was instrumental in the building of Florence, AL. My ancestor is their youngest son George Moore Jackson who built "Moorefields" in Colbert County, AL. Many of my Jackson relatives are buried at the Jackson cemetery at the "Forks." George Moore Jackson married Sarah Cabell Perkins who was raised in Lauderdale County, her father was William O'Neal Perkins, who I am lacking information on. Sarah Cabell Perkins is a descendant of Pocahontas. Her parents died when she was young so she was taken in, with her sister, by the Jackson's at the "Forks." George Jackson and his wife Sarah Cabell Perkins had several children. Alexander Jackson (b. 1854) Elizabeth Jackson (1856-1861) Jane Jackson (1858-1947) she is my great grandmother. Rufus Polk Jackson (1861-) Kate Breckinridge Jackson (1863-1960) never married, but held me as a baby Richard Harrison Jackson (1866-1971) one of Lauderdales most famous sons. He went to naval academy and became a hero, was a 4 star admiral in the navy and lived to be 105. He died in Coronado, Calif. And I did meet him a few months before he died.

At any rate I was in for the shock of my life when I found out that Dale's older brother, my childhood sweetheart, had also passed away and was buried right next to Dale. After days of searching I have found out that Larry's last known address was in Lauderdale Alabama, however I have nothing positive that states this is where he died. I have tried to get a copy of his death record but was told that they could not release it because I am not a direct relative of his. does this mean they (the court house) has something on file???? I don't know. Any help is greatly apprecited and thank you for listening. I would give almost anything to obtain an obituary for Larry or any type of newspaper article there may be in regards to his passing. Larry was born on 4-13-1967 and died on 4-10-1996.
