    3. There is a book titled " Bloody Banners and Barefoot Boys" compiled and edited by Noel Crowson and John V Brogden that is about the history of the 27th Regiment Alabama Infantry. It can be bought/ordered from the bookstore, Books A Million in Florence, Al.....a great book on this regiment. 1. [ALLAUDER] Kelly/Kelley Family of TN
    2. Kelly/Kelley Family of Wayne & Lawrence County,TN. -REUNION I would be intersted in helping to organize a Kelly/Kelley Family Reunion for the summer of 2001 - preferably to be held in Wayne or Lawrence County near the Kelly property. Our line is through William Kelley born 1758 down through his son Richard Kelley (born 1805) who married Martha Eaves. I would like to see all Kelley/Kelly families who lived in Wayne County or surrounding areas be able to participate in this reunion. We have one year to locate and gather the cousins. Is there anyone who is willing to help with this reunion? or is there someone who is already chairing a reunion similar to this one? Most of our family lived in or near Iron City. Let me hear from you if you are interested. The Gathering Goes On!! Donna Cuillard 6273 Anastasia AVe. Simi Valley, CA 93063 (805) 522-3828 e-mail: dcuillard@aol.com (if sending e-mail, please put KELLY REUNION in the subject line.)

    3. Does anyone have a marriage record of Ben Frank CHISHOM who married 1st Mary ALLEN and then 2nd Didama BOREN? Do you know if Mary ALLEN died before 1850. She and Ben Frank supposedly married in 1847. Any help would be appreciated. If anyone is by the courthouse and could look this up for me I sure would appreciate it and would be glad to send you the money for the copies. Don't make and extra trip though, I can always send to the courthouse and get it, I just thought if someone was going to be down there anyway, it would save me a phone call or letter to the girls at the courthouse. Thanks, Nancy Lovelace Gooch Smyrna, GA

    1. [ALLAUDER] Fw: Confederate Indigent Families Lists
    2. James Steve Sanders
    3. Does anyone know if Lauderdale Co., AL. has records on the Confederate Indigent Families. This is where the government pledged support of the soldiers families during their absence from home. My 2nd great grandfather served in a unit from Lauderdale Co. and died during the war. I was wondering if his widow received any assistance. I don't know what information these records would contain other than the amount of support they were given, whether it be in money or maybe necessities such as food. Does anyone know about these records? If so, can anyone tell me how they can be located, so I can check to see if my 2nd great grandmother is among those listed. Judy

    3. I have been researching my g-g-grandfather, Henry Robertson for several years, with very little success. I don't have my records with me at work, but I believe he's listed as Henry G. on the 1860 census for Lauderdale Co., and I have always been told he was Henry G. Now, here's my problem. In my research, I keep running into Henry Mulroy Robertson. Could he and my Henry G. be the same? I am starting to get very confused. 8-) Thanks, Shawn

James Kirkpatrick. I haven't made other family connections with her. I made a listing of Lauderdale AL DAVIS marriages mostly in 1820's-30's. These people are probably related: Joseph m. Cynthia Williams Aug. 17, 1826 (he was b. 1805 in Kentucky) Gurley m. Patiens B. Smith Jan. 8, 1823 James m. Polly Rice 2 Feb 1826 Nathan m. Amerlia McLester (Amelia McAlister?) Jul 8, 1821 Gabrel m. Anderson White May 23 1825 In the 1850 Census, there is an Elizabeth Davis age 62, b. in NC, living most likely with her daughter, Nancy Huges (and Nancy's husband, both of whom were born in TN). In the same census index appears: Asariah Davis, Burrell Davis, Isaac Davis, James Davis, John Davis, John M. Davis, and 2 Thomas Davis's. Someday I hope to check the actual census on these people, and I'll report what I find to the list. Nancy, I found a Reuben Davis on a list of Revolutionary Soldiers on the rolls of the state of Alabama, receiving his pension in 1859 in Chambers County. He was 97 years old. Is this your Reuben Davis? 3. Pat, thanks for your reply. I know that there were many Davis's in Lauderdale county in the 1830's and 40's, but it doesn't seem that anyone has "untangled" them all yet. My Davis connection is Polly "Mary" Davis, who married James Kirkpatrick Nov. 13, 1831 in Lauderdale County. I have the impression that he was "passing through", but her family was there for many years. I'll stay in touch if I come across anything helpful. Al Queries Board URL: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Al/Lauderdale?read=126 Surname: Clemmons, Blassingame, Kennedy, Richardson, Barnes ------------------------- Mary, I am dropping a needle in the haystack with this one but lets try it anyway. Two "cousins" found a will that is supposed to be our GGG's Jonathan Richardson with his sons and married daughters. One of his daughters named is Margaret Blasingame. The most significant thing is that the will is witnessed by Aaron Clemmons, E. Kennedy. It may be possible that yours are connected to ours because one of my new "cousins" seems to think that she may be related to the Kennedys through this family. He may have been a brother in law to the married son(Obidiah)in the will and was a witness to the will. Also, the 1850 Census lists Polly Curtice age 77 with Kitty Blasingame age 40(I think it is a nickname for our Margaret, and it may be mother-in-law and daughter-in-law)Also, lots of these names are in neighboring houshold #'s What are your Clemmons, Kennedy and Blassingame relatives names? What are your thoughts on this? Please e-mail and we can get some more ideas going on this if you think we are onto something...

    3. Posted on: Lauderdale Co. Al Queries Board URL: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Al/Lauderdale?read=123 Surname: CURTIS ------------------------- I am researching the family of JOSIAH ISAIAH CURTIS who appeared in the 1840 and 1850 census of Lauderdale Co. AL. I beleive his father may have been JAMES W CURTIS who also was in the 1840 census, along with THOMAS CURTIS, JONOTHAN D CURTIS and WILLIAM CURTIS. These families all lived close to each other. The CURTIS family seem to be connected to the CLEMMONS, BLASSINGAME AND KENNEDY families through marriage. I am wondering if anyone has any information on the CURTIS men mentioned above, and a possible connection to the other families. JOSIAH ISAIAH CURTIS moved from Lawrence Co, TN around 1834 and lived in Lauderdale Co. till 1851 or 1852 ,when he moved to Hempstead Co. AR. Thank you.
