    1. [ALLAUDER] Couple of questions.. Bradley / Pruitt / Gist
    2. I am trying to follow up on a lead that has been past down by family word-of-mouth. As you know that can be the most difficult kind of research. Things tend to get a bit twisted as the travel down the family tree. And to make things worst, this is falling around the missing 1890 census... talk about a brick wall. Here is what we have been told. Dont know if it is all correct...... or all wrong.. or just a mixture Grover Cleveland Bradley b. 1892 Had brothers Andrew, Owen and Jim their father was Jack Bradley b. ca 1851 Lauderdale (son of John Bradley 1818) Jack Bradley had a brother named FATE Bradley Jack Bradley married a woman by the name of Mindy or Mandy.. (possibly Gist was her last name) (or they could have been talking about Fate Bradleys wife was a Gist) Anyway, they went to Arkansas with family (who was the family? and where in Arkansas?) Jack and Mandy / Mindy Bradley both died within a couple of days after Grover Cleveland Bradley was born in 1892. George and Roxie Pruitt raised Grover Cleveland Bradley... they are supposed to be an uncle or aunt to him .. (but how?) Does anyone have a George and Roxie Pruitt.. ? I have no dates for them.. I dont know if they raised him in AR or in AL but i would think AL because Grover Cleveland Bradley wound up back in Lauderdale AL .. I guess thats all that matters... Someone (I suspect George and Roxie Pruitt) is buried in Mt. Tabor Cemetery. It wasnt stated who.. just that "they" are buried there.... Does anyone know where Mt. Tabor Cemetery is? Id like to see who it is that is buried there... Now for all I know, the parents died in Lauderdale AL and George and Roxie Pruitt is the ones that took him to AR... However, Grover Cleveland Bradley did say that he was from Arkansas. Can anyone help fill in any of our blanks or Correct us where you know it is wrong? Where is Mt. Tabor Cemetery? Does anyone have George and Roxie Pruitt? Thanks Lauderdale Researchers Charlotte Killen Borden

    1. [ALLAUDER] Polly Rickman b 1807 married John Jones 1832
    2. Hi ... I am trying to verify that the above Polly Rickman is indeed my relative. I came across this marriage date for 03/08/1832 in Launderdale County, AL to a John Jones. If anyone has the census for 1840 and 1850 I would appreciate a lookup. 1840, will of course, just have John Jones and enumerations. They could also be in the 1840, 1850, etc. for Lawrence County, AL as the Rickman family visited between the two frequently. Thanks for any help. Robie

    1. [ALLAUDER] Thomas P. Richardson
    2. James Steve Sanders
    3. Does anyone have a Thomas P. Richardson in their records? I know there were Richardson families in Lauderdale Co. in the 1800's. This Thomas P. Richardson to which I refer signed the marriage bond of a Joseph G. King in 1860 in Lawrence Co., TN. Joseph G. King married Hester L. Howard. I would like to know what connection this Thomas P. Richardson is to Joseph G. King or Hester L. Howard, if any. I realize this couple married in Lawrence Co., TN., but I know that some families that lived in Lauderdale Co., AL. often moved back and forth between Lauderdale Co., AL. and Lawrence Co., TN. I research Kings who were in Lauderdale Co, AL. in 1850 census. I'm just trying to find my King's through any connection I can. Can anyone help?

    3. Does anyone research Howard's? If so, does anyone have a Hester L. Howard in their records? I'm not sure she is from Lauderdale Co., but could possibly be. The Hester L. Howard I'm looking for married Joseph G. King in 1860 in Lawrence Co., TN. I have a missing Joseph King from Lauderdale Co., AL. I'm trying to determine if this Joseph G. King who married Hester L. Howard is mine. Some of my Kings went back and forth between Lauderdale Co., AL. and Lawrence Co., TN. Judy Sanders

    3. Hi All: I haven't posted to this list in a while so I thought I'd try again. I'm looking for any info on Hardy MATTHEWS/MATHEWS/MATHIS who came to Waterloo sometime prior to August 1827 when he married Nancy THOMPSON. Prior to his marriage, the only thing I know about Hardy is that he was born somewhere in NC around 1800. I'm trying to find out if he was related to any other MATTHEWS families in the area or who his parents and/or siblings were. -- Need a tasteful and affordable gift for someone (or yourself)? 1. [ALLAUDER] Blackground Cemetery--Town Creek, AL
    2. I visited this Blackground Cemetery in Early September searching for some Waldrep relatives of mine. It is in very bad condition--overgrown, with most cleared burial plots that are only kept up by family members of those buried there. There is a small church across the street that is in need of donations or a civic group (ie. Boy/Girl Scouts) to clean the cemetery up. BETHANY MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH    75 COUNTY ROAD 261,  TOWN CREEK,  AL  35672 Phone: (256) 685-2863 I also meant to add. If anyone is interested in helping clean up this cemetery please contact the church above. I can give directions to it to anyone who is interested. There are some very old graves in this cemetery. Many of which I couldn't reach due to it being so overgrown. Thanks, Amanda Hester Baltz--Walleyland@aol.com

    1. [ALLAUDER] Are you connected to the Stutts Family of Lauderdale Alabama?
    2. I am updating my web page. Hopefully, it will be up in a couple of weeks. If you would like your family line up to the Stutts or your e-mail address to be added to my new Stutts page, contact me about your line. I will not be posting living relitives only those born before 1900. Before I updated, I thought I would see if anyone else wanted their lines posted. If you have Old Stutts photo's, wills, or anything else you would like to share, contact me. If you already have a web page with your Stutts family on it and you want to send me a link, I will be glad to add it to my Stutts page. There are so many families connected to the Stutts family, I thought it would be nice to help new people find other researcher interested in the same line. If this goes well, I will also be doing some other families of Lauderdale the same way. Charlotte Killen Borden
