Researching ancestors/descendants of WIlliam McGee (McGehee) (b.1815. TN) and Debbie Ritter (b.1816 AL), married May 7, 1836 in Lauderdale County. Although much is published and shared on the Stutts family, Ritter seems to hit a brick wall with Deborah's father, John Ritter, (b.about 1800 NC). Similarly, not much is known about the McGee line before William.

Hello Researchers, In response to the call for Surnames, I'd like to announce the location of the original marriage certificate of Curtis Clements/Clemmons to Nancy Kennedy/Cannady. HOWEVER, we REALLY need one "little" record that says Curtis and Nancy were the actual parents of the majority of CLEMMONS in the North Central Lauderdale Co. area. Was there a relationship between the Clemmons/Clements and Rachel Clements - wife of Hamilton Reynolds (ancestor of so many REYNOLDS of North Central Lauderdale Co.)?? New activity on the McCluskey/McMurtrey lines. Still looking for John Crymes' (1849-1915) family. Would like to correspond with anyone with info on any of the above families! THANKS! LINDA in TN
