From THE FLORENCE TIMES JOURNAL (Lauderdale Co, AL.) Wednesday, April 2, 1873 ANOTHER BRIDGE DOWN --- A storm last week, lifted the bridge over BLUEWATER from its pillows, and turned it bottom upwards over the creek. If the creek should rise the bridge will be washed away. Mr. MORRISON, the builder of the bridge, should be as prompt to repair it, and set it all right again, as he was with the SECOND CREEK bridge. In view of the unstable condition of the bridges in the county, we hope that all bridges hereafter, will be constructed of iron. The cost is but little if anything, in excess of that required in the construction of wooden bridges, and with a coat of paint, every year, they will serve three generations. NOTE: News item is transcribed as it appears in the newspaper.

I am searching for any additional information on Alexander Barron Jr. who after 1820 moved with his wife Elizbeth Liddell to Lauderdale County,Alabama from Giles Co,TN. I believe his son may have married a Wilborn or Wilburn in Lauderdale. Would like to know if any relatives remained in Lauderdale or moved on. Alexander Barron Jr. lived in Pendleton Co,South Carolina before moving to Giles Co,TN. Alexander Barron's grandmother was Jane Barron, who was the mother of my Samuel Stephenson born in York County,South Carolina in 1795. I have much information on the Barrons before 1820,but very little after that time. Some of the Barrons may have at one time lived in Lawrence Co,AL. Thanks for any help! Tom Stephenson
