Thanks to you all who responded to my request about Steens. The GNIS (geographic name information system) didn't have it, though, which I thought unusual - it gave something called Steenson Hollow in Colbert. Anyway, I found Kennedy on my map, and appreciate all that helped. Nice folks in Lamar County! Any of you have or know of any Alexanders out that way? I've got an Ernest Alexander and a Charlie Alexander born around there in the 1880's. Their dad was Thomas and mom was Serenia. Jan Melton
