To All Listmembers of ALLAMAR: R.E.: The Heritage of Lamar County, Alabama Sections A-R (partial R) of the family section were mailed back to the publisher today. We expect the remaining sections of R-Y to be returned to us within a month. Last month we were told that the book was 700 pages long, but that was before some stories had been added back that had been left out. We were informed this month, by our consultant, that our book was on the fast track to be published. They anticipate Christmas for delivery. We appreciate everyone's patience with us. This has been a monumental task for all of us, and it is not something that is quickly done. We have also been informed that upon publication, the cost of the book will increase to $69.95. It is currently $60.40, plus $4.00 shipping. Books may still be ordered from the Heritage of Lamar Co., AL Book Committee, P.O. Box 216, Kennedy, AL 35574. We think we can still get ads and memorials in the back of the book, if anyone wants to place one for their family or deceased loved ones. Some have also utilized this space for their stories that they were not able to get into the main body of the book. Please email me for prices if you are interested.
