Dear Mr. Reeves; Mr. Rainwater; and Miss Cox: Mrs. Carruth asked us to respond to whether we wanted her to continue her column in the newspapers. We find this a worthy project, a continuation of the project that we began in working on the Heritage of Lamar County book committee, which we all did for 2 and a half years, without pay. It would have been nice had we been able to receive pay for our efforts, as it was very time-consuming, which is understandable on her part in wanting pay. My only objection is that I do not think this column should include those stories in your paper that have been submitted to the Lamar County Heritage Book. This book is in production, and will be copyrighted. I would appreciate your honoring our request.
