Some of the early marriages that took place here before Lamar Co,Al was created are recorded in Tuscaloosa County,Al and Monroe Co,Ms. also.As well as later ones in Fayette and Marion Counties.Many went to Lowdnes Co,Ms. to marry.Huntsville is another good place to look.Not all marriages were recorded in county records.Many of the early folks were already married when they arrived here.That's what makes the search fun!!
