Dear Listmembers: This letter is to inform you that my cousin, Sue Palmer Elliott, will be taking over the Lamar Co. website on Rootsweb. As many of you know, I suffered from cancer last year, and now it has spread to my liver. I had hoped to try to get the site working this summer, but due to my health, I cannot. Sue has graciously agreed to try to maintain it. Allison Saxman has also offered her help. My thanks to both of you, and to all who have been so patient with me in the past two years. I know that the site will be maintained excellently as Sue has the same love for Lamar Co. that I do. I hope that as I feel better, and I believe that I will, I will be able to contribute to the Macedonia site, that many of you have asked about. Thank you, Sabra Sudberry ALLAMAR Listowner
Sabra, I am sad to hear that your cancer has spread. You are in my prayers. I am reminded of a favorite scripture: "For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope." Romans 15:4 NIV We don't know what the future holds but we can know who holds the future!! For that I am thankful!!! Thanks for all that you have done and will do to preserve the history of our loved Lamar County. Barbara Woolbright Carruth The Lamar County Images of America Book is here.
