On page 416 in the Lamar Co. Heritage Book is an article about Clyde V. Matthews written by Ina Burnett Morris. I am a collector of postcards (have over 14,000) and I recently found two real photo postcards dated Oct. 12, 1905. One was written to Mr. Clyde V. Matthews, Sulligent, AL and is from Ruby and says "Write sometime to your "prisoner" sis, Rubie. A picture of a young lady is on the postcard and is probably her. The other postcard is addressed to Miss Ruby Matthews, Sulligent, Alabama. It has a picture of four young ladies and has written by the picture "Latest Almanae". If Ms. Morris would contact me, I would love for her or some family member to have these postcards. I bought them because I also do research in Lamar/Marion County on my Weeks, Bussey, Sandlin, Page, Webb, Gardner, Vest, Rollo, etc. lines, and that caught my eye. (Thanks Sabra, for the info) J.D. ____________________________________________________________ J.D.
